Students' critical thinking ability requires improvement from schools as an educational institution. Besides, it is important to maximally integrate character education into mathematics learning. One of the attempts was implementing mathematics comic that contains Pancasila values as teaching material through contextual teaching and learning. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of mathematics comic teaching material with Pancasila values in improving students' critical thinking and character. This is a quasi-experimental study that involves non-equivalent control group design. The population was fourth-grade students of elementary schools in Gajahmungkur District, and data were collected using a critical thinking test and questionnaire. The results showed that using mathematics comic teaching material with Pancasila values was (1) effective in improving students' critical thinking ability; (2) effective in developing character, especially discipline and hard work trait. In the beginning, both character traits were categorized as good, and after treatment, there was an increase in the very good category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of mathematics comic teaching material with Pancasila values is effective in improving critical thinking ability and character traits.
The Users’ Experiences in Processing Visual Media for Creative and Online Learning Using Instagram
creative learning creating instagram online learning user experience...
The aims of the recent study were; analyzing the effect of creative and online learning using Instagram on the ability to create new products in the technology and learning media course, and determining the level of users’ experience in processing visual media through the Canva application on android. Quantitative approach with this research was carried out through a quasi-experimental research model because it measured the post-test was applied to 58 students as the respondents in two experimental and control classes. This study used two instruments; the cognitive learning outcome questionnaire according to the subject to get the students’ ability to create new products, and the second instrument was taken from ueq-online.org in the Indonesian version to know the users' experience in processing visual media. The data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA, mean and standard deviation assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics 24.0. The results demonstrated that the effect of creative and online learning using Instagram on the ability to create new products in The Technology and Learning Media course was found significant at 0.028 <0.05 which meant it could be applied well. Meanwhile, the level of users' experience in processing the visual media application Canva on Android had the highest score on the Stimulation scale at 1.59, categorized "Very Good" and the lowest score was on the Novelty scale at 0.93, categorized "Above Average". With the strong creative encouragement to create new products, the students were able to process their own visual media which were tailored to the agreed digital visual designs and were published on Instagram.
Community-Based Project Learning: Empowering Students' Self-Regulated Learning and Creativity
community creativity project self-regulated learning...
Changes and challenges in the highly dynamic world of education require postgraduate students to manage their learning well and create something from their creative thinking according to the needs of the field. One of them is the activity of students in developing integrated natural science teaching materials is very necessary because learning at the primary level still uses integrated or thematic learning. Furthermore, students also need to be encouraged to be adaptive to these challenges by empowering their independence in learning. The ability to manage learning and creativity to create something new is highly prioritized for college graduates to contribute generously to their environment. This study aims to describe the empowerment of self-regulated learning and student creativity in developing natural science teaching materials in collaboration through community-based project learning. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a single-subject design type. The instruments used to retrieve data are creativity assessment rubrics and self-regulated learning questionnaires. The conclusion is that students are intrinsically and extrinsically motivated to fulfill the given tasks. Learning is essential for increasing competence, and learning strategies have been adjusted to the material's complexity or the difficulty level of the studied content. The aspect of student creativity in developing Integrated Science teaching materials shows the existence of change from stage one to the next and good categories.
Applying AI Tools to Develop a Curriculum Based on Expected Learning Outcomes and Personalize Learning Program for Students at the University of Languages and International Studies

The higher education system in Vietnam is undergoing a significant shift from training based on university capacity to training based on labor market demands. In a developing economy dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises, it is a big challenge to train graduates to meet changing and very diverse competence requirements. AI and machine learning tools are applied in three stages: (a) processing survey data: Expected learning outcomes (pELOs) are quantified into credit values, with each module's contribution determined using the apriori algorithm and expert methods; (b) Optimizing framework curricula (FC): A genetic algorithm identifies module combinations that meet all pELOs while minimizing redundancy within a specified study duration; (c) Framework curriculum adjustment (FCA): An FCA tool, using genetic algorithms, enables schools to update FC annually and allows learners to personalize their programs. WEKA is used to implement the apriori algorithm (https://www.cs.waikato.ac.nz/ml/weka). The PASCAL language is used to write GA and its associated subroutines. Foreign language bachelor's degree programs at the University of Languages and International Studies Vietnam National University, Hanoi, (ULIS-VNU) were used to test algorithms and procedures. According to the calculations, present FCs have caused overstudy and can be modified for every employment post to reduce the surplus credit values that have accrued. Furthermore, FCA can assist in making the curriculum more flexible so that students can more easily switch out FC modules based on their skills and circumstances while still meeting all of the stated ELOs. Under project number N.21.13, this research piece was finished with assistance from ULIS-VNU.
